17TH OCUBE Annual meeting/(UN)CONFERENCE:
MAY 19-22, 2026 IN-PERSON ONLY
MAY 27, 2026 ONLINE

1. May 19-22 is dedicated to in-person only activities, providing a true UnConference experience, where the majority of the sessions will be built around pitches made and voted for on site. The in-person sessions & activities will be held from the evening of Tue, May 19, to noon on Fri, May 22. Location: Shamrock Lodge Muskoka, 1090 Shamrock Rd, Port Carling, ON P0B 1J0 (32-person limit, oCUBE members, first come first served).

2. The online UnConference day will be held on Zoom, Wednesday, May 27 from 10 AM - 4 PM EST (no limit, all welcome). We’ll be collecting pitches for sessions through an online survey, and voting on our favourites a couple of weeks in advance.

You are welcome to participate in both the online and in-person UnConferences, or one! 

Regardless of how you're attending, we're looking forward to seeing everyone at the UnConference!


HOW DO I REGISTER?


There is no registration cost to attending the UnConference online or in-person. 

·       However, you must register by end of day May 11, regardless of whether you are attending online or in-person. [Register here for the online UnConference.]

WHEN & WHERE IS THE UNCONFERENCE?

May 19–22, 2026 in-person at Shamrock Lodge, Muskoka 

  • In-person attendance is capped at 32 (first-come, first-served): see below on how to register and book accommodations!
  • Tues. May 19 (7:30pm–onwards): bonus pitches and meet and greet
  • Wed. May 20 & Thurs. May 21 (full day): in-person UnConference sessions and activities including the State of the oCUBE (oCUBE General Assembly meeting) and Fix my Sh!t sessions
  • Fri. May 22 (9:30am–12pm): in-person UnConference sessions and activities (morning only)

A more detailed program will be available in mid-May.

• Online spaces are unlimited, with free registration. 



IN-PERSON ACCOMMODATION AND LODGING INFORMATION

I WANT TO COME IN PERSON - WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

  1. Fill in the May 2026 in-person meeting registration form. You should get confirmation that you've got a spot, or that you've been added to the waiting list. (Note that automated messages may go to your Clutter/Junk folders.)
  2. If you get a spot, CALL Shamrock within 72h to secure your place, and book your lodging of choice at 1-833-765-3177—let them know you're with oCUBE! There is a $200 deposit. 
  3. Let Shamrock know of any food allergies, dietary requirements, or special accommodations that you require.

Beautiful and accommodating   Shamrock Lodge in Port Carling, ON has been hosting our May UnConferences since 2013 and they were with us in spirit in 2020 and 2021. 

There are 3 options for your stay: 

·       Single occupancy (lodging and food): ~$525/night + HST - includes food!

·       Double occupancy (lodging and food): ~$418/night + HST - includes food!

·       And there's one more option! Shamrock provides one multi-person cabin (the "Treehouse") free-of-charge*. The only fee for this option is to cover meals (*$158.20/day  + HST). Individuals who go with this option, like all attendees, have access to all the resort facilities. Note that this multi-person cabin (1 king bed in the loft; 1 bedroom with queen bed; 1 bedroom with 2 single beds; one bathroom) does not afford enough privacy for complete separation of genders. Please note – the Tree House must have a minimum of three occupants for the food only rate to apply.
