Since 2014, the online journal club is another way that oCUBE members have stayed connected and kept up on recent developments in pedagogy. Each month, from September to May a facilitator chooses a paper on scholarship in teaching and learning for an informal discussion. The paper is posted (sometimes along with a handful of focusing questions), and a date/time is selected (usually by Doodle poll) for the one-hour online discussion. As is typical for oCUBE, we don't usually follow a formal process of deconstructing a paper! While we often consider the evidence, study design, and other aspects of the paper, our discussions are also highly practical, personal and collaborative.
