The Faculty of Science Medical Sciences Program, at Dalhousie University invites applications for a 36-month limited-term appointment as Instructor. The position is available beginning Dec. 1, 2023, with course instruction beginning Jan. 8, 2024. Job candidates should have a PhD in a Science or Health-related field, and teaching experience in the sciences or health-related professional programs. Experience supervising undergraduate research projects, teaching research methods, or coordinating research projects, will be considered assets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and instructing courses in the Medical Sciences program in all three terms (winter, summer, fall). The Instructor will also chair the Honours committee, review applications, lecture activities, and reports, facilitate communication between supervisors and students, and organize the annual Medical Sciences Symposium. The Instructor will be responsible for maintaining a list of potential supervisors for each course, managing the Brightspace (LMS) pages, liaising with the hospitals for pre-placement requirements for clinical projects, and other administrative duties related to course operations and programming.
